Masood Khan

Born June 11, 1990, in Balkh, Afghanistan

Masood Khan is an Afghan-born filmmaker and storyteller now based in Hamburg, Germany. He fled Afghanistan in 2014 and sought asylum in Austria, where he kickstarted his creative career. There, he trained and refined his craft at the Opera Graz before relocating to Hamburg.

With a portfolio of more than 40 short and feature films, Khan primarily focuses on directing and producing, while also taking on acting and screenwriting roles. He’s the co-founder of the CEB International Film Festival and is currently developing two new feature films. In addition, he directs music videos and continues to explore storytelling across different formats.
